Books for Veterans
For a $5.00 or more donation you can receive a beautiful magnet suitable for framing or attaching to any metallic surface – like an automobile!
This is a grassroots effort that can directly benefit Butte College students who also happen to be veterans. Donations can be accepted in the Veterans Resource Center (Quad 2-103), The Veterans Office (Quad 2 111), and Disabled Student Programs and Services Student Programs and Services (Quad 2-104).
Donation can be made in cash or, if you prefer, by check made out to Butte College Foundation / Books for Veterans. Please see the attachment for details.
Your Gift Changes Lives

My name is Elizabeth Graham. During the summer of 2004, my daughter and I were living in a
tent along the Feather River. The Butte College Foundation provided the scholarship I needed to
turn my life around. It has enabled me to complete two associate degrees at Butte College and to
graduate with Phi Theta Kappa honors for academic excellence.
Today I am a Political Science major at CSU, Chico. I have been selected to participate in a
prestigious congressional intership in Washington D.C. with a California member of the U.S. House
of Representatives. Follow my story on my blog, Mrs. Graham goes to Washington.
I cannot say enough about how much the Butte College Foundation scholarship helped me
while I pursued my education. I needed someone to believe in me, and with your help I was
able to complete my degree. |
