The Assessment Office staff believes in your success at Butte College. Knowing more about your skills in reading, English and math is an essential part of clarifying academic goals and understanding the expectations of college level courses. Services we provide:
- The Assessment Office establishes basic skills placement levels in reading, English and math for entering students
- Evaluate transcripts and test scores from other institutions to establish placement levels and clear prerequisites
- Providing Assessment Services and support to English as a Second Language (ESL) student
- Provide test preparation materials for the BSA and Ability to Benefit (ATB) test
- Clarify students understanding of results and assist students with making appropriate course selections in basic skills classes
