The Butte-Glenn Community College District (District) is committed to providing full access to its programs and facilities to all students. As part of that commitment, the District will provide a bus transportation system that is available and accessible from the communities it serves to the main campus. All currently enrolled students are eligible to use the bus transportation system.
The service area for the system, its hours of operation, and the locations for each bus stop will be printed in the District's schedule of classes each semester. The notification will include a statement that the buses operated by the District are accessible to individuals using wheelchairs or who have a physical disability.
Each bus used as part of the bus transportation system will accommodate non-disabled passengers, as well as individuals with disabilities, on a space available basis. Priority/reserved seating for ambulatory, but disabled individuals, will be reserved in the front of the bus. Individuals who use a wheelchair will be provided space and appropriate tie-down equipment. Bus drivers will receive regular customer service training and specific instruction on disability etiquette and wheelchair safety procedures. For information on providing transportation to disabled students, please call Disabled Students Services office at (530) 895-2455.
The College has teamed up with AlterNetRides. This is a free service provided to help you find others to carpool with to either the main campus or Chico Center. It is completely automated and is as easy as 1-2-3! Check it out by clicking on one of the links below.
Carpool to: Main Campus, 3536 Butte Campus Drive, Oroville, CA 95965 (must allow pop-ups)
Carpool to: Chico Center, 2320 Forest Avenue, Chico, CA 95928 (must allow pop-ups)

We encourage carpooling as alternative transportation. Carpools receive preferential parking in parking lots 1, 3, and 4. Or park at the new additional parking area between the Chico Center and Lowes and ride the bus to the main campus.
