Jim Lauer

Head Coach

Head coach Jim Lauer begins his 13^th year as the roadrunners golf coach. Coach Lauer has been at Butte for nearly three decades. With multiple championships in the GVC, Butte joined the Big 8 Conference in 2003. Each year Butte has sent players to the Nor Cal Tournament and the state tournament from a loaded Big 8 Conference. Butte plays each year in the prestigious Stanford tournament exclusively for Junior college golf. Butte’s Andy Barnum won the tournament in 2003 with the field of 16 teams and he also won the Nor Cal tournament medalist honors in 2002 in Fresno. In 2004 the Butte college golf team was awarded the state academic award with a team GPA of 3.2. Academics are important at Butte and etiquette on the course a must.

Jim resides in Chico with wife Deedee and two children Ryan and Alexis.
