Men's Soccer Program Now Offered at Butte

Dear Friends of Area Soccer,

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to a new era in Butte College Athletics. 2008 marks the beginning of the Butte College Roadrunner Men's Soccer Program. In an area so rich in soccer talent, the BC Men's Soccer Program will provide a much needed avenue for our local players.

We have been busy since my hiring in May. Assistant coaches Seleshi Sahle and Ross Sandburg have been instrumental in the complexion of this year's team. Our 2008 squad is made up 100% of area players. My goals are simple: to become a factor in the California Junior College State Championship every year and provide a conduit for area players to begin a college career and move on to four year soccer programs.

The Butte College Athletic Department has done their part in getting us off the ground. We have been given a first class start and will now look to ways to improve our Program until it is recognized as one of the premier Junior College Men's Soccer Programs in the state.

I invite you all to become a part of our Butte College Men's Soccer Program family and look forward to seeing you throughout the year.
