Bibliographic Instruction Request

The Butte College librarians would be happy to teach information-seeking skills to your students.

Bibliographic Instruction classes are designed to assist students in the use of library's electronic and print resources. Instruction can be tailored to the needs of the students based on course requirements or projects assigned by faculty members.

All Main Campus classes are conducted in the Library's Bibliographic Instruction (BI) room (LB 206). The BI room is equipped with 35 computer workstations to provide students with hands-on online search experience. Please note, fire code room capacity for LB 206 is 48 persons.

BIs are also available at the Chico Center and the Glenn County Center. Due to our very limited staffing, BIs are not available outside of the Main Library's normal operating hours.

To schedule a class, please fill out and submit the following form. Please submit only one class session at a time. Also, please give us a minimum of two weeks notice so that we may prepare a quality presentation for your students. You will receive a confirmation by e-mail within 3 working days of submitting your request.

The instructor must be present during the BI session.

Thank you!
