Morgan Brynnan

Faculty Reference & Instruction Librarian

Morgan Brynnan

Morgan has worked in libraries since 1996. She received her Master of Library and Information Science degree from the University of South Carolina in May of 2006. Her BA is in Spanish, with an emphasis in Latin American and Caribbean Studies. She earned her degree as a returning adult student, beginning at a community college, then transferring to a four-year university, and finally to graduate school.

Morgan's responsibilities at the Library include Web design, database management, 24/7 virtual reference, collection development, bibliographic instruction, and, of course, reference. She is conversant in Spanish, and has worked with government documents and resources.

She has been an activist for peace, women, the ADA, and AIDS issues, and envisions a world where everyone has access to information and education. She and her spouse run a small Web design company for nonprofits and family businesses. When not puttering around with Web design, she reads, helps raise her newborn daughter, talks to the cats, and splits firewood. She is presently working on not being so darned serious, and getting her 1967 British racing motorcycle on the road again. She is an East Coast transplant who thinks Butte County is an absolutely wonderful place to live and grow in. She is still astounded in the mornings by the view on the way to work.

Her office door in LB 302 is always open to serve students and staff at the college.
