Butte College has historically provided all personnel with opportunities for professional development. Professional Development works with representatives from across the college to ensure that all faculty and staff are included in a wide variety of activities.
The Center for Excellence, opened in 2007 in the library building on the main campus, houses Professional Development offices and the Technology Training Center. The Center for Excellence offers a venue for formal and informal gatherings. The Technology Training Center offers smart classroom and computer lab space for faculty and staff trainings.
