These are available at the Main Campus Admissions & Records window during our normal hours of operation. Estimated processing time for on demand transcripts is 10-15 minutes. Please be sure to bring payment with your request. We do not bill for this service. ON DEMAND SERVICES ARE SUSPENDED DURING THE FIRST TWO WEEKS OF EVERY SEMESTER.
How To Request Your Transcript - Official transcripts are released and forwarded by Admissions & Records only upon written request from the student. Your signed release should contain your full name, previous names used, your birth date, where to send your records and your signature. Transcripts are usually processed in 10 working days but may take longer during peak times.
Any student who has a financial obligation to the college shall have their transcripts withheld. Students and former students who are in default on their student loans shall not be permitted to receive grades or transcripts nor will their grades be transferred to another institution until such obligations or debts have been satisfied.
Sending previous college(s) transcripts to Butte College:
Official transcripts of previous academic work in college are required from all students. These transcripts become part of the student's permanent file and will not be released or forwarded to other institutions. Students may be exempt from assessment for English, Reading, and/or Mathematics if their prior course work meets the necessary criteria. No previous academic work may be disregarded. Students should request that their former school(s) send an official transcript of their records to Butte College. Any copy other than an official transcript is unacceptable. Students should be aware that schools may charge a fee for forwarding the transcripts. Students should contact the Assessment Office at (530) 895-2350 if they would like their transcript evaluated for placement purposes.
