Introduction to Service Learning Courses (IDST 94)
IDST 94 Classes
Butte College offers 1 unit courses in Service Learning in the Fall and Spring Semesters. The course requirements include volunteering a minimum of 20 hours within the semester and completing related reading and writing assignments regarding what you have been learning about yourself and the community through that service. Some of the benefits include:
• 1 unit of transferable credit to the CSU system (e.g. Chico State).
• Gain experience to help build your resume.
• Explore different careers.
• Flexible instruction done online (via Blackboard) or through a workbook (no charge).
• Make a difference in your community.
• Help out with sustainability efforts.
