Early Alert

Early Alert Program

Early Alert is a process to help your student receive priority student services in order to succeed at Butte College. Any student with a challenge (academic, emotional, financial, etc.) that can prevent her/him from success at Butte College may be given a VIP PASS.

A VIP PASS may be initiated by any faculty or staff, and when presented by the student at the service destination, designates that student to receive priority student service.

Two ways to refer a student using a VIP PASS:

  1. Paper version:  Early Alert VIP Passes and campus service provider lists are available in all department offices, at the VP of Student Services office in the Campus Center, and can be printed from this webpage.
  2. Electronic version: Login to MyBC, choose Access WebAdvisor, choose Early Alert, and then Create Referral. (link to Early Alert menu)
