- Can I take classes if I didn't graduate from high school?
- Any student 18 years of age or older can attend Butte College. A high
school diploma is not required.
- Can I attend BC if I am still in high school?
- Student currently enrolled in high school may be concurrently enrolled
in Butte College with permission of the high school and Butte College
Office of School Relations.
- If I stop going to the class will the instructor automatically drop me?
- You are responsible for dropping classes you are no longer attending.
Instructors may not drop you in time to allow a refund.
- Will I be dropped from my classes if I don't pay my fees on time?
- No. However, a balance due hold may be placed on your account which
prevents you from obtaining any further college services such as registering,
adding/dropping classes, obtaining transcripts, or receiving grades.
All fees are due at the time of registration.
- How can I get a college catalog?
- Request a Butte College catalog from the Bookstore by submitting $3.00
with the address the catalog is to be mailed to or by getting on the
Bookstore Web Site.
- How many courses do I need to take to be considered a full-time student?
- Full time status is 12 units or more.
- How do I get Financial Aid?
- There are several ways to reduce your college fees.
- BOGG (Board of Governors Grant) application available in the
Veterans Office.
- Applying for Financial Aid (applications available in the Financial
Aid Office.
- Fees paid by an outside agency scholarships, special grants,
employer. There are specific guidelines for fees paid by outside agencies
please check the course schedule.
- Do I need to select a major before registering?
- Students should schedule an appointment to meet with a Counselor to
assist them with their course selection.
- Do I need to submit my high school or college transcripts?
- High school transcripts should be submitted if SAT (Math-560, Verbal-550)
or ACT (Math-25, English-25) test scores are provided. Send high school
transcripts to the Assessment
Office. College transcripts should be mailed from previous institution
to Admissions & Records
- Can I register for my classes in Admissions & Records instead of using
WebReg or TeleReg?
- All registration is completed in WebAdvisor from Butte's Web Page Only those classes requiring signatures or petitions to add
are registered in Admissions & Records.
- Do you have a fee payment plan?
- All fees are due at the time of registration or by the deadline date.
- Can I get my grades on the Internet or over the phone?
- Grades are available on the Butte
College Web Page or can be picked up in Admissions & Records.
- Can I register on the Internet?
- At this time registration is not available on the Internet.
