Registration Instructions

Fees are due at the time of registration. Fees are considered late if not paid by the Due Date for classes beginning the first week of the term or within 14 days of registration for short term classes. Postmarks will not be accepted.

Adding and Dropping Classes After School starts

The Add/Drop deadline is 20% of a class's duration for full term classes or 10% for short term classes.

Adds and Drops

Use TeleReg to add open classes or to drop unwanted classes within the Add/Drop deadline.
Once a class is full, it closes and remains closed even if students drop. You should attend the first day of class to see if space is available. Enrollment into a closed class requires an Add Card signed by the instructor and submitted promptly to any registration center.

Late Adds:
Adds after the Add/Drop deadline require the student, instructor, and Dean’s signature on an Add Card. Signatures expire after two weeks.

Late Drops:
After the Add/Drop deadline a student-signed Drop Card is needed to drop a class. No credit or refund is available after this period. However, you can earn unit credits (swap credits) that you may use towards another class anytime during the same term. To receive swap credits the drop and add must be completed in the same transaction. After the class withdrawal date additional signatures are required. See the Catalog or A&R for more information.

IT IS ALWAYS THE STUDENTS RESPONSIBILITY TO DROP A CLASS.

Attending First Day of Class!

Because many students try to add classes after the term begins, instructors may drop the no-show's to the first class in order to make room for those that do show up. Therefore, it's very important to show up on the first day of class to ensure yourself a spot. If you can't make the first class, call the department secretary or bring a note to be placed in the instructor's mailbox prior to the start of school. Explain your situation, and request that the instructor not drop you from the class. Doing this will not guarantee that you won't be dropped, but your chances will be improved. You are responsible for dropping classes you are no longer attending. Instructors may not drop you in time to allow a refund.
