Campus Wide Committees

As a student you have the opportunity to be involved in making the decisions that affect students and the college, from fees and textbook prices to class schedules and marketing campaigns.   If you would like to volunteer as a student representative on one of the following committees, contact the Associated Students (AS) at 895-2392 or the AS Advisor, Kelly Munson, at 895-2945.

Technology Committee:   Meets twice a month.   Establishes, interprets, enforces, and handles technology policy.

Foundation :   Meets 4 times a year.   Develops involvement, support, and public understanding in the communities served by the College and to serve as the fundraising arm of the College.

Judicial Committee:   Meets as needed.   Handles student grievance complaints.  

Academic Council:   Meets weekly.   Deals with enforcement, interpretation, and waiving of academic regulations.  

Financial Aid Appeals Committee :   Meets monthly at least.   Establishes, interprets, enforces, and handles waivers of district financial aid policy.  

Early Alert Committee:   Meets 3-4 times a semester.   Affords faculty, staff and students the opportunity to become involved in assisting students the opportunity to achieve academic success through early intervention.  

Graduation Committee:   Meets during spring semester to plan and executer commencement ceremonies.

Land Use Committee:   Meets 3 - 4 times a year.   Affords faculty, staff and students the opportunity to become involved in issues and decisions affecting the property where the main campus resides.
