Mission and Philosophy

Student Health Services aims to help students get well and stay well so that they may meet their academic and personal goals. The on-campus clinic provides specialized medical and healthcare services for eligible students as inexpensively as possible. SHS promotes the knowledge, skills, self-development, and individual responsibility necessary to attend school at an optimal level of physical, mental, and emotional wellness. SHS is proactive in protecting the safety of the college community, with attention to public health, occupational health, and campus safety.

 

Eligibility

Student must be actively enrolled in classes and have enrollment fees paid.

 

Confidentiality

Confidential information contained in a patient's record is considered privileged information and cannot be released without the patient's written authorization. Confidentiality may be broken only if the patient poses a danger to self or others.

 

Accident and Injury Insurance

The Butte-Glenn College District covers students for injuries that occur on campus, in college-sponsored activities and classes, and while traveling under college supervision to and from such activities. This insurance is subsidized in part by your Health fee. The injured student must file an insurance claim at SHS within 90 days of the injury.
